How it all started

Hello all,

I am creating this blog to share the restoration of a 1960 Austin seven (mini)

It was a 1960 Austin seven near Denver CO. the price was right, but the car was 1,300 miles away.No problem road trips are fun right?

It is now November 2007 arrangements are made to pick up the car on December 28 2007. We leave on Christmas day with the dogs, camper on the truck and a horse trailer the mini will fit in. By day two we are in Wyoming it was -10 in the day for two days of driving through Wyoming and into CO , and down to -20 at night wind blowing hard the whole time. This was during the worst snow they had seen for years I'm told, nothing like a good adventure. Day three spent just a few miles from the mini to be picked up the next morning after he pry ed his frozen garage door open. The mini was loaded and we were off headed for Oregon, we arrived safely home a few days later it was a fun trip.

Next the work on the car begins but first i have a couple pics for this page the work will be detailed in the following pages.

Here we are about to head out all hooked up ready to go.

I did not take many pics on the trip i cant find any right now but here is a pic of the car loaded up in CO.

OK that's all for now check out the other pages for more details
Jeff
